Dear ISB Member and Bass Enthusiasts,

“There is nothing greater than the heart of a volunteer” – James Doolittle

The ISB is looking for members and non-bassist family members and enthusiasts who wish to volunteer at ISB2017 in Ithaca. As a volunteer, you become an important cog in the ISB machine that will make the 50th Anniversary Convention a success. Volunteers are room monitors during presentations, work the ISB store, turn pages for the amazing piano collaborators, translate for our out of town guests, keep a watch over the hundreds of basses at bass storage, and so much more! Each volunteer is essential to making the convention work.

I myself started as an ISB volunteer at the Richmond, VA convention. Working behind the scenes opened my eyes to a whole other side of the bass world. I met and worked with many bassists that I had only listened to or read about in the ISB magazine. I was able to meet my bass idols! I have been volunteer at conventions ever since. James Doolittle’s quote is very true, a volunteer has a heart that knows no boundaries and an ISB volunteer has a heart that seeks for the best and strives for the impossible.

Click here to apply for the 2017 ISB volunteer team by March 15th, and we hope to see you at #ISB2017 in Ithaca, NY, for the 50th Anniversary Convention.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
