ISB Group Workout (open to all levels)

This year we have added a daily Group Workout event to our convention program, so we are not just talking about daily practice, but also doing it!

Schedule Tuesday – Friday

9:00 am – 9:50 am

 Hill Center BenLight Gymnasium

Tuesday June 6, 9:00 – 9:50 am: Paul Ellison will lead an “All About That Bow” Group Workout

Wednesday Morning June 7, 9:00 – 9:50 am: David Allen Moore will lead a “Fractal Fingering” Group Workout

Thursday Morning June 8, 9:00 – 9:50 am: Gary Karr will lead “The Karr Kamp Morning Exercises Routine” Group Workout

Friday Morning June 9, 9:00 – 9:50 am: Francois Rabbath will lead a “Musical Scales” Group Workout

Each session will begin with absolute basic activities which even a beginner (amateur/child/enthusiast) could enjoy, and then progress steadily to more advanced daily exercises, culminating with suggestions/examples that might be aspirational even to professionals.

Participants will be playing most of the time (minimal standing around holding your bass while people talk at you). The session leader will be on a small platform stage with a wireless microphone.
The goal is that we all make connections with one another and with our individual relationship with the bass and our daily approach to learning. Beginners can be swept along and into the supportive mentoring of more experienced players beside them.

This time also allows us all to come into direct contact with the dedicated, serious, daily commitment to growth modeled by four great masters.
