The Second Annual Galicia Graves International Competition (2016), took place in the Gustav Mahler Auditorium at the Conservatory of Music in Culleredo (Spain) on February 19, 2016.

JURORS:

  • Selection round: Diego Zecharies and Simón García.
  • Final round: Teppo Hauta-aho, Thierry Barbé, Giorgi Makhosvili, Diego Zecharies and Simón García.

 The required works in both categories were composed by Teppo Hauta-aho to commemorate his 75th Anniversary:

Galicia Graves International Double bass Competition was born in 2015 with the spirt to reward the musical excellence of the double-bass students and find out new generations of young talented players.

 We have ONE single prize in each category valued around 900€ consisting in our sponsor’s products :

  • Galicia Graves Performance Prize (over 14 years old).
