The noontime jam sessions are going to be full of great pieces for everyone to play together no matter your playing level. In honor of ISB’s 50th anniversary, Andrés Martin has written a special piece specifically for our noon sessions. This piece will be performed during ISB 2017. If you want a chance to get working on your part, download the score and parts below.
In thinking about the piece Andrés wrote: “I decided to name it ‘Chimera’ because I think the ISB is a thing that it seems utopic but it exists thanks to all of us bass players who have been fighting for it since 50 years ago. And since a Chimera is something that symbolizes a dream that can`t exist well: I think the ISB is one of those dreams but we make it possible to exist every day. So now we own a Chimera.”
